I've got worms. The good kind. Worms for worm composting. We are fortunate to live in a land of tremendous possibilities, a strange situation created by millions of people blindly throwing valuable organic materials, primarily kitchen scraps, into landfills. Dealing with such a tremendous waste stream in a centralized, yet ecologically-sensitive manner (paying millions of dollars each year for a government-sponsored solution) is daunting. Dealing with it in a decentralized manner is an absolute joy.

I have begun breeding red wriggler worms, Eisenia fetida, for use in worm-composting systems. I see worm composting as a valuable link between urban residents and the living earth, and I fully intend to promote their use in every way I can. Unfortunately, this idea came to me late in life, and I've not yet achieved a high enough worm population to begin sales. I do expect, however, to have enough worms to begin selling them by July or August 2009. don't hesitate to contact me with worm related queries, advice, or anecdotes. I love that sort of thing.
